Brushless Palm Orbital Sander - 81mm x 133mm, 3.0mm Orbit

This Rutlands® brushless palm orbital sander delivers maximum operator comfort, low vibration values (3.07 m/s²) and low noise (83 dB LpA). Ergonomically designed, the lightweight, low profile body allows the tool to be used for long periods without fatigue. Supplied with an 81mm x 133mm backing pad, this palm orbital sander runs in a 3.0mm orbit, yielding consistent surface finishes for fine sanding and finishing applications, reaching into tight corners and hard-to-reach areas, ideal for windows, doors and frames.

The 350W high performance brushless motor maintains constant speed, even under heavy load, ensuring a consistent material removal rate and finish quality throughout. The soft start motor with electronic brake gradually and safely builds up speed and stops instantly. The motor operates between a 4,000 to 10,000rpm range, with the paddle lever allowing careful control of the speed between 4,000rpm and the current max rpm, set using the + and - buttons and LED indicators.

Lightweight at only 1.7kg, the sander is comfortable to use whether operated flat, vertical or overhead, and is supplied with 4 metres of removable power cable to provide unrestricted access to the project. The longer body design allows the option of a two handed grip where further control is required. The rear body dust port provides connection to the supplied 1.1 metre, 35mm dust hose which operates on a 360° swivel fitting, allowing free movement of the sander without kinking of the dust hose. A centralised vacuum system, when used with net abrasive discs, allows dust-free sanding, further reducing sanding time whilst ensuring the highest quality of finish.
