The full-size handles are ergonomically designed to allow for optimum grip and comfort and are made from a slow growing beech that has been selected for its straight grain, to ensure maximum strength. The shanks of the high-speed steel blades are buried deep into the beech handles and secured by a solid stainless steel ferrule.
The skew chisel has to be the hardest turning tool to learn but once mastered, has to be the most versatile. Used correctly, a skew chisel will produce a fine finish to the surface of the wood that requires little sanding. The best indication is in the resultant waste as correct use will produce long curly shavings similar to those made with a plane. A skew chisel will produce grooves, coves, beads and V-cuts. These are excellent full-size woodturning tools. ©
