Guide Rail for Plunge Saws - 1400mm

Designed primarily for use with plunge saws, this 1.4m guide rail provides the accuracy and stability to ensure straight, precise cuts every time. Manufactured from extruded aluminium, the rail has been hardened to ensure no bowing or flexing under load, and features a durable low-friction coating. Set within the top surface of the 185mm wide rail are two full length ribbed phenolic strips, ensuring effortlessly smooth travel and control with the connected saw. Widely compatible with other brands (including Makita), the anti-tip lip allows compatible saws with anti-tip baseplates to make bevel cuts without lifting or tipping over.

On the underside of the guide rail are two full length cushioned foam strips, designed to both protect the surface of the workpiece and provide a stable, non-slip grip. A sacrificial rubber strip on the edge of the rail acts as a splinter guard, applying downward pressure onto the material to minimise tearout. Once trimmed to the blade kerf on first use, the splinter guard indicates the exact cutting edge, allowing the guide rail to be positioned precisely at the scribe mark.

The guide rail is compatible with plunge saws, clamps, squares and other accessories supplied by other leading brands, and can be extended to 2.8m and beyond using the R1629 connector bars.
