The Story
This reciprocating handpiece for the Rutlands® bench grinder and polisher or the hanging rotary tool transforms the flex shaft’s rotary movement into a back and forth reciprocating stroke, allowing intricate carving, chiselling and texturing.
Ideal for the model maker, fine woodworker and wood carver, the handpiece includes 3 blades: a 12mm flat chisel, 9mm gouge and 10mm V-shaped tool. Each blade is engineered from a high-grade Japanese bi-metal for long lasting sharpness and extra-long tool life.
Attaching tool-free to the flex shaft, the handpiece features a tough yet lightweight aluminium body and a rugged plastic grip, contoured to ensure fine control during use. Supplied with 12mm blade change wrench. Recommended operating speeds are 1,000-8,000rpm.
