The Story

Securing quickly to any work surface up to 45mm thick, this handy portable shop vice provides a variety of smaller scale, assured workholding solutions. It is ideal for precision woodworking or crafting, model making, jewellery making, electronics & engineering.

The jaws measure 25mm deep by 70mm wide and are smooth faced to prevent marking or damage. Horizontal and vertical V grooves in the faces of the jaws allow for the secure holding of round stock, such as dowels and pipes. Atop the jaws are four knurled bench dogs, screwed into one of four positions across the width of the jaws, used for clamping round or irregular shaped workpieces. The vice travels on a precision machined steel Acme screw thread and twin guide bars, all housed in brass bushings to resist dust infiltration and ensure consistently smooth, parallel movement.

The main body of the vice is CNC machined from aluminium for excellent rigidity and strength, whilst remaining lightweight at 720g. All aluminium components feature a durable black electro-coated finish to ensure scratch, wear and corrosion resistance.
