The Story
A toggle clamp plate with posts allows you to use both horizontal and in line toggle clamps wherever 3/4" or 20mm holes have been drilled. The plates are perfect to use with existing dog holes on workbenches or tabletops. There are four predrilled holes in the plate with spacing of 25mm x 38mm to allow you to mount the leading brands of toggle clamps easily. The clamp can then be rotated around 360 degrees once it is placed inside a hole. The plate is 10mm thick which will naturally increase the maximum capacity of horizontal toggle clamps while increasing the clamping shoe height of in line toggle clamps.
There are two 125mm steel posts suppled with the plate, one is 3/4" in diameter and the other is 20mm, meaning they will be compatible with either industry standard dog hole diameters. The posts have several back tapered rings along their length which engage with the inner wall of the hole to prevent the post from being pulled upwards when clamping force is applied from the clamp.
The plate itself has been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium which has been anodised to provide a durable and great looking, non marring finish. There are four mounting bolts supplied to allow you to secure your choice of clamp to the plate. It measures 100mm x 65mm. ©
