The Story

The Rutlands® wood ball gouge for angle grinders provides rapid carving, hollowing and undercutting of concave recesses and the smooth texturing of wooden surfaces. Easy to control, the 25mm diameter gouge will produce decorative, chisel-like shallow textures when applied across the surface of a project.

Rather than tearing the wood like rotary burrs, the three tungsten carbide inserts finely shave the wood, leaving an ultra-smooth finish requiring minimal sanding. Micro-grain tungsten carbide construction ensures the blades provide long lasting sharpness, even when carving the toughest hardwoods. When the blade shows signs of wear, simply rotate it to an unused section using the supplied T10 torx key.

The alloy steel body has been precision machined to ensure balanced, vibration-free operation and maximum control whilst carving. With an M14 thread, the gouge will attach to the most popular sizes (115mm, 125mm) of angle grinder. Recommended maximum speed is 12,000 RPM. ©
